There used to be one in Jennings, I think there is one around Cushing, you should find several around Hugo.........why?

Try this list compiled by the U.S. Forest Service back in 07. It's in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format. There are a number of small family type sawmills operating in eastern Oklahoma.

I used to be involved in this industry several years ago. At that time Weyerhauser was big in Oklahoma. Don't know if they are still here or not?

I am located in Logan County just north of the OKC metro. Imagine my surprise when some loggers bought two really big Post Oaks from my new neighbors just a few months ago. They had to be 100 years old plus. Sort of sad to see them go but that is the way it goes.

I have no idea how much my new neighbors were paid? It must have been several hundred dollars since a semi truck with Arkansas tags came and got them?

Weyerhauser closed their big plywood mill down at Wright City back in 2005 and I guess the rest of their operations in 09. Devastated the economy down in McCurtain county and that neck of the woods. They have also sold out thousands of acres of property.
