We are going to be in Oklahoma City at the end of March for a Thunder basketball game, and wanted some input on a few things.

1. We plan to stay at the Colcord hotel, based on the reviews this is a great hotel. Is this the best hotel within walking distance of the arena?

2. I've read that there is construction going on in this area, is it still ongoing, and if so, will it affect our route to the hotel?

3. We've never been to an NBA game before, and have really good seats (8 rows from the floor). Do the players interact with the fans at all where we could get an autograph or a picture with them? Any other tips to make the game even better than we are anticipating?

4. Is this area safe to walk around and explore the various sights and restaurants day or night?

5. Any restaurants within walking distance of the arena or Colcord that you recommend?

6. What is the weather like at the end of March? Do the trees start to bloom around this time, or later into April?

Sorry for all of the questions, just want this trip to be smooth and unforgettable.

Thank you in advance!

1. The Colcord is among the best in the city.

2. Construction is ongoing, and work is to start soon at the intersection of Robinson and Sheridan (where the Colcord is located) to install streetcar rails. I'm not sure how long that'll last.

3. I've only sat close to the court once but I don't recall much interaction from the players. I have a blast every time, though!

4. Yeah it's a safe area.

5. There are many restaurants in the area, I quite like Chelino's in Bricktown.

6. If I remember from last year, trees were just beginning to bloom in late March.

I hope you enjoy the game and your stay here in OKC!

Not into basketball but as you are travelling from out of town for a game - contact them via FB or their website regarding autographs.

Another question, what is a good pizza place close to the Colcord that delivers? I've seen Joey's and Wedge, any input on good pizza that will deliver to the hotel?

Thanks!

Wanted to follow up on this in case others have similar questions. We had a blast on our visit to OKC, Colcord was fantastic, Flint restaurant was exceptional, and the game was amazing! My son was able to get an autograph and get a few high-fives from the players prior to the game, and our seats were great. We never felt unsafe while walking around downtown, and the weather was perfect! Trees were in bloom and the flowers were out in full force.

I hope we can visit this area again, aside from the 8 hour drive we had a blast!
