Hi I am about to stay in Northwood apartment, 461 Gypsy lane, youngstown 44504. Looking at this website I am very much worried about the crime rate of youngtown. How is the area and the apartment itself in particular. As I am employed in St. Elizabeth Health Center, I will have to go to the hospital and come back everyday. Is it a safer area or do you recommend any other place to live? I chose this place because this is close to St. Elizabeth Health Center, less than 2 miles away. Is the apartment a good one?

I don't really know anything about those apartments, but i do know the general area. If i was going to live in the city it would definitely be on the Northside. I looked up the address and i know that area, i think it's pretty safe, but to be sure i would call the y-town police and ask about crime in that area or in those apts. I do know that gypsy is pretty much the dividing line between Liberty Twp. and Youngstown so you are in a much safer area than most areas of the city. Hope that helps a little. Maybe there are some others from the yo. that can chime in on this. Good Luck! Welcome to Youngstown!
