Ok, sometimes threads tend to get off topic with people talking about whatever they feel like, not even helping the OP with what their question was...

So many other state forums have made their own "chat" threads, and Ohio should have one too. In most states, these threads are their most succesful. So lets get our own started. Talk about whatever is on your mind, how your day went, your vacation, or how bad work sucks. LOL we all have stories on just about anything.

Just have a good time, and chat away.

I'm returning to the motherland of Ohio next week for a wedding in Cincy! Skyline Chili, here I come! Not to mention the Renaissance Festival will have started up in Harveysburg... which I will no doubt be attending. Mud show, anybody?

Default Quiet here...

Wow, Let's get this board going LOL. Skyline Chili...oh I love that stuff. When I was in Cleveland this past July I made sure I stopped there; I went to the one in Brooklyn, and it was as good as I remembered it.

I am returning to the Mother Land of Ohio. We leave August 31st. Should take us a week to get down there (driving). We'll be heading into Southeastern Ohio area. I'll miss Alaska of course, the mountains which are so beautiful they sometimes don't look real. But, the beauty doesn't compare to missing your family. And Ohio has some absolutely beautiful parts. My husband and I both feel it's time to move on (and in my case, it's moving back). He is from NY originally.

The Canadian Rockies are another beautiful place. I'll be taking pictures (again), took lots when we drove down in June and came back in July. Somebody please just give me instructions on how to post pics. Everytime I try it, it doesn't work. Thanks!

I won't get back until October, perhaps for the Sauerkraut Festival in Waynesville. I hate missing Oktoberfest, but the in-laws are keeping me busy at home during September.

The spouse and I were grocery shopping the other day, and I was grumbling about how our local markets don't have squat/provide crappy service etc., and he said "Well, if you were still single, you wouldn't be buying all this stuff that I like," and I said "If I were still single, I'd still be living in Cincinnati and shopping at Kroger or Meijer!" End of problem. Heh.

My husband had been to Alaska for work at one time. We took a vacation in Alaska and decided to go for it. I had never lived outside of Ohio and wanted a change. It's been a wonderful experience and I don't regret it, but I think it's time to return home.

I have to ask, where in southeastern Ohio will you be settling? I'm in Noble County, move out here about three years ago.

Speaking of Oktoberfest, the one in Columbus is horrible! Or at least it was a couple years ago. I hear Cincy's is killer.

I've never been to Alaska, but it seems like a desolate place to live. I'd love to visit there, though!
