FirstEnergy Corporation seeded some $60 million dollars towards former speaker Larry L. Householder to arrange a sweet $1.6 billion dollars in government bailouts for their power plants. The fallout from this hasn't completely settled yet, but it's madness that so far he's only been hit with a 20 year prison sentence. They funneled this money through PACs with names like Generation Now and Hardworking Ohioans because the current legal code makes it easy to hide where the sources of money are coming from.
