Definitely quaint but either too far from big cities and/or too small population wise, but thanks for the suggestions!

IMO, there already is a doctor and nursing shortage in Greater Cleveland, and it's likely worse in more rural areas of Ohio, and it's likely to be compounded by the apparent determination of the Republicans who control state politics to further restrict abortion, reproduction and privacy rights in Ohio, even as abortion rights already are severely restricted.

Young women medical professionals reportedly are factoring abortion rights into their location decisions, and young male medical professionals likely will be influenced by this as well, more especially if they are married to young women professionals in any career.
Has anyone mentioned Wooster? It’s a college town, and it has satellite offices of Cleveland Clinic. My PCP was there and also chemotherapy and radiation treatment.

Certainly worthy of consideration. Here's a thread on Wooster.

Still not much on Bowling Green. Can anyone elaborate on it?

I don't know it that well, but my impression is that there is considerably less going on than Kent. Also proximity to bigger places is not as good. Scenery kinda boring.

If you lean liberal go Oberlin or Kent. Bowling Green will work if you're more conservative.

I'm not sure political affiliation is as important as suggested in general. Imo Kent is just the most complete place to live with the most to do.

Kent and Bowling Green have always seemed similar to me, both being good examples of typical college towns.

But I'm only passingly familiar with them. What are the extras that make Kent more complete?

I think Kent just has a lot more festivals and events all year round. Recreation is better with the Cuyahoga River running right through town, with a few lakes pretty closeby too. Also very close to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, as well as both Akron and Cleveland. I think most people would enjoy life in Kent more due to the number of options at hand at all times. Just my opinion though.
