S.E. Ohio: 1. Athens.... Great college town, beautiful scenery, progressive attitude of residents, and plenty of interesting things to do... My pick also for best small city or town in all of Ohio!!!! 2. Marietta.... Pretty river town, lots of history, plenty of things to do... 3. Gallipolis... Another pretty river town, with some history, but not as much to do... S.W. Ohio: Chillicothe... One of the original capitals of Ohio, some history, and a pretty good looking town.... Wilmington... Pretty town, college atmosphere, cool courthouse and downtown..... Warren County... Nice suburban county close to Cincinnati, with tons to do, pretty towns, Kings Island and The Beach, The Little Miami for canoeing, and so on... Great place!!! N.W. Ohio: Sandusky... Pretty lakefront resort city, with Cedar Point, and water recreation..... I've heard good things about Bowling Green, but have never been.... N.E. Ohio: Ashtabula... Another pretty lakeside city, with close proximity to Cleveland, and lots of things to do.... Millersport(I believe).... Amish Country, good food, and another take on a different lifestyle, in the computer and cell phone age, where technology is not as important, and you can escape the fast pace, and just slow down a little...... Cambridge, and Zanesville.... I just personally happen to like these two cities... History, interesting things to do, the Y bridge, Cambridge at Christmas time, the Passion Theatre, and so on.....

Wooster, OH in Wayne County is a nice little town...one of the better ones in the state now is Coshocton, OH...reason being as that area has a lot of money pouring into it from the Gas/Oil Companies as it sits in the Marcellus Shale Region.

Cambridge is another great little Eastern Ohio small town...it's not so small anymore but Delaware, in the northern Exurbs of Columbus still has a nice small town feel to it.
