I'm moving to Columbus, Ohio. I have heard that Columbus is nice.

I've heard that the nicest area's are Dublin, Bexley and New Albany. Are these really the nicest Columbus suburbs?

What are the pro's and cons of Dublin, Bexley and New Albany?
Are there any good shopping centers, restaurants, parks, ect near by these towns?
Which one would you guys recommend?

Thank you!

Well, it depends on what you like. Dublin is safe, has plenty of shopping and has very good schools. New Albany is a bit smaller, but with a tremendous up-side. NA is home to numerous companies and is growing very fast. Their schools are also very strong. NA is close to Easton (shopping) as well as the airport. Bexley is a very nice suburb....it is an older suburb with very nice tree lined streets. Bexley is the closest to downtown of the 'burbs you mentioned.

Here are some other options:

Upper Arlington - Bigger than Bexley, but similar and is close to the Scioto River and OSU....shopping and restaurants are also accessible on Lane Ave.

Westerville - Big suburb with plenty of parks, great rec center, a college is located there (Otterbein). Westerville has plenty of shopping in town and is located approx b/t Easton and Polaris.

Powell - Great schools (Olentangy), and an up and coming suburb...smaller version of Dublin.

Lewis Center - Technically not a suburb as it is really Orange Township....but there are plenty of subdivisions in Lewis Center as well as Southern Delaware County. Close to Alum Creek Lake and Highbanks metropark as well as Polaris Mall.

Good Luck

I would look into Grandview Heights. Very conveniently located to downtown. It's kind of got a half-small suburb/half cool urban feel. Close to campus and Short North too. Nice entertainment options!
