Perhaps his payback for this giveaway to Wall Street will come in the form of generous campaign contributions for another White House run?

He IS closing at least one prison - the juvenile facility in Scioto County, leading to the loss of 300 jobs in one of the state's most depressed areas in spite of the fact that the facility has a lower cost per inmate than several of the facilities being retained (retained because the move is being portrayed as a avings move). Scioto County is, of course, the home county of Ted Strickland. Not suggesting that Kasichis the vindictive sort...just saying. Local officials tried to work with the state, but (according to the Ironton Tribune) were astonished with the unwillingness of the state to work with them or even provide information - it was presented as a fait accompli.
