Can anyone recommend a church in Crown Point (near Broadway & E 101st ave)? Hubby and I just moved to the area and have not been to church in years. He is Catholic and I am Christian. I would prefer a Christian church but open to one that is Catholic if less formal. God has been so good to us and its about time we celebrate him at a place of worship. Thank you for any tips!

It's not in CP, but St Michaels in Schererville used to have a great guitar mass on Sunday mornings. You might want to check that out.

I attend church at Barrington Ridge Baptist Church in Hobart, IN. You are welcome to join us for worship! Our services are a blend between contemporary and traditional. I commute between Hobart and Crown Point to work, and it takes me about 20 minutes. For more information about our church, go to www.barringtononline.com

Any chance you are still looking? You should check out suncrest church in St. John. Less than 15 min from there. Informal, down to earth -- Suncrest Christian Church - Home, good Bible teaching without hammering you. very normal people. I love it.

Is there a more formal, orthodox Catholic Church in northwest Indiana where there are no guitars and the Mass is more traditional? Not necessarily a Latin Mass but one that is not hip and happenin'? Too many Catholic Churches are trying to be Protestant. I don't like that. I prefer a more quiet, reverent, and traditional worship.
