Thanks for the alert! Hopefully they'll let some GMU students and faculty participate.

How strange for them to not require tickets. I've heard that MANY protesters will be there, protesting this awful health care bill.

This was not a good idea on Obama's part.

Anyone can participate! Just show up, but don't bring bags or purses. In the DC Area? Don't Miss this Event with President Obama | The White House

Yup, we were all encouraged to participate! I'm not going though since I don't support the bill.

On a related note, traffic's going to be crazy in DC this weekend, too. Apparently there are two major protest events scheduled. Ah, spring in DC. The cherry blossoms turn pink and the protestor faces turn red.

I think it's a refreshing change from the previous regime!

Whenever Dubya did these appearances....ANY hint of dissent (t-shirt, etc) got you summarily ejected from the premises.

This is more like, gasp...democracy!

meanwhile...I park my bus near GMU....I hope I can get out of there and get to the high school on time this afternoon!
