We'll be moving to NOVA next month. My husband will be working at Herndon and we are looking for rental homes at Reston/Cascades,Sterling. We have a 3 year old and I am looking for a good montessori/preschool for her.So far I've checked Herndon Montessori country school(Herndon) and Sunset Hills Montessori(Reston). Is anyone here sending their kids to any of these montessori?
If anyone has suggestions ,i would greatly appreciate. Thanks

I toured Country Montessori school in Herndon and had a really good impression of it. I would probably have my daughter go there next year except that we are low on funds due to my husband being laid off. I don't know if you need after care because I believe Country Montessori does not have it, but Sunset Hills does. I have never toured Sunset Hills Montessori because it seems so expensive. Country Montessori is much more reasonable in price because they are non-profit. Another Montessori school that I toured and had a good impression of was Loudoun Children's House Montessori School in Sterling. They have before and after care as well and seemed reasonably priced. I heard about the Loudoun school from a babysitter whom I interviewed. She had worked there and said it was a good school.

I will second the opinion on the Sterling Montessori, both my grandchildren went there and loved it. The youngest is starting first grade and the oldest is starting third grade. They are both good readers and have good math skills.

Hi there,
I am looking for a preschool in Sterling, VA for my 4 year old son. He is currently going to Montessori Children's House of Loudoun. I am not convinced that it is the right school for him as I guess he thrives in a more structured and close knit environment. The current one holds 25 kids in one class and 2 main teachers with 1 asst teacher. could anyone please recommend a good Preschool in sterling area that would fit my needs?

Thanks in advance
Kala

We had the same issue with my son and pulled him out of MCHS. Good luck finding a better place!
