I know our moderator, Tone509, is currently out on a brief hiatus so this would probably be a matter that would need to wait until he returns, but would the interim moderators like to chime in on their opinions as to whether or not one dedicated and more lightly-moderated "sticky" thread might help to keep this sub-forum flowing more smoothly? It seems like numerous threads have been getting locked lately, and most of them are because there are numerous people on here with grudges against one another (myself being a prime example and a prime target on both sides of the spectrum).

The NEPA sub-forum had ONE thread that lumped together everyone's frustrations with one another, and it worked VERY well for numerous months to let the rest of the forum have meaningful discussions. Obviously there is a lot of bickering to be had on this sub-forum, so instead of driving the moderators crazy why not just have ONE dedicated thread for us to hash it all out?

I personally vote to de-sticky the thread about the NoVA businesses (which isn't very popular anyways and can always be "bumped" if necessary) and sticky a thread for off-topic/rants/controversies. The only way otherwise you're going to have harmony here is if you ban half the sub-forum, after which point you've effectively KILLED the sub-forum because all of the power-posters on here are also all active participants in much of the squabbling.

What do others think? Would we benefit from a NoVA boxing ring of sorts?!

OR you could all just respond to topics appropriately instead of engaging EACH OTHER constantly over your differences and just avoid the people you disagree with.

Many other sections of the forum DO have off-topic or chatting threads but they are NOT used for bickering and Cat-Fights.

The regular Mod will be back in a few more days and I will live this up to Tone509 to decide.
