What's the average time to close on a house that is a regular sale (not a foreclosure or short sale)? One month, 6 weeks, 2 months?

Is there any difference between condos, townhomes, and single family houses in terms of the amount of time it takes to close. For example, do condos close faster than homes?

Thanks.

Depends on how fast you can get your financials, inspections, appraisal, negotations, etc. squared away. It can happen in 2 weeks if both parties are motivated.

Two weeks is pretty optimistic. There's a big backlog in appraisals right now because of everyone refinancing. Most of what I'm seeing is 45-60 days.

Having recently done two, both were about 6 weeks.

We closed on our SFH in Woodbridge in February. Our closing was actually exactly 30 days from the day our offer was accepted. It was a foreclosure/bank-owned.
