There is a South Indian Veg place called Chutneys in Herndon whcih is pretty resonable (try their Dosa) and a buffet place called Minerva in the same Herndon Clock tower complex (go only for their lunch, dinner is more expensive) A huge Indian crowd goes there. There is also an Indian Fast food location called Hotbreads on lee jackson hwy... try their chicken tikka sandwhich

The best place for South Indian (Most indian rest are North Indian and their cuisines are very diff) try Woodlands in Maryland.(Def try their Thali or Dosas)

Try "East West Carryout" on Wilson across from the whole foods. It's more Pakistani than Indian, but delicious. I could eat their chickpeas forever.

Well, as long as we seem to now be casting a wide net, we greatly enjoy the food at Preet Palace in Centreville. To be honest, the service is not really that good, but the food is excellent and we keep going back.

+2 on Jaipur in Fairfax Circle. It makes the most delicious Chicken Makhni I've ever tasted.

Indian food is completely addictive, IMO. Jaipur sounds like someplace we should try...

Another food type we love is Ethiopian. Verrrry tasty, although I'm not sure that I know the name of anything other than Injeera (spelling?)....
