Hi,

I'm moving to Leesburg and will have to drive to Fairfax on a regular basis.

I am very close to 7 and 267 in Leesburg, and my destination is right by Fair Oaks Mall / Jermantown Road area.

What would be the quickest route (and your estimate of travel time) in rush hour? Would a different route be better in non-rush?

Would travel time on 621/Evergreen Mills be comparable to 267/Greenway? Assuming that I would be taking either to 50.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

267 is probably faster, but you will be paying a lot of money for it.

I remember when evergreen mills was a rarely travelled road. A lot of people would avoid it because they were scared to drive the speed limit on it, especially at night. You could take it to 50 and be in fairfax in 35 minutes on a regular basis. Now evergreen is a total nightmare to drive on.

But to answer your question, what the first guy said...

I live in Leesburg and I used to drive to Reston taking the 7. I would leave around 7am and get to work around 8am. Going home I would leave around 3:15pm and get home by 4:10. If I was running late, I would take the toll and it would only take me about 25 minutes to get to Reston. Fairfax is a little farther, so you would have to add even more time to that. Trust me, it was not fun at all. I'm glad I don't have to do that commute anymore

Evergreen Mills won't be too bad, it's EB 50 between say Poland Road and Stonecroft in the AM (that's just terrible) and WB 50 to the west of 28 where three lanes try to merge into two with traffic coming off 28 is trying to merge too.

267 to Fairfax County Parkway to 50 is your quickest bet. Caution, though, 267 backs up onto the Bypass terribly in the PM, but when they re-open the Sycolin Bypass next month or in September that SHOULD help things out getting straight into Leesburg.

Live in Leesburg work in Herndon I take 7 to 28 in the AM thats 20-25 minutes and in the evening if I take 7 home its 40-45 minutes if I take the greenway its 25 minutes, keep in mind I live off of sycolin so 7 and the greenway are very easy to get to verus someone who live deeper in leesburg.
