PACA healthcare.gov for NOVA Who is on the list? (insurance, taxes)

Has anyone got through on the website yet?

Can you please post the names of the insurance companies that are on the exchange for Northern Virginia?Nothing in the Post or InsideNova yet.

I have tried a couple of times, website is jammed. That's understandable for the first day but I would really like to know what is out there.

I got healthcare.gov to work right up to the point of selecting Virginia.

However, the website specifically for Virginia (and the one healthcare.gov will direct you to) is: Cover Virginia

EDIT: No, sorry - it looks like healthcare.gov is the place to check. Apparently the state government elected to default to a federal health exchange, rather than set one up for the state. I confess I haven't paid much attention to what Virginia did or did not do re: the Affordable Care Act. As a retired fed, I've got coverage.

I do think I remember reading that Virginia opted out of the state exchanged. Of course it did.

Yes, in defense of cherished federalist principles, the morons currently in charge of this state chose to forego the option of setting up a state exchange and punted that task (and money) back to the feds. Brilliant.

Why should any state waste their time or resources on this BS? This was the fed gov't's brilliant idea, let them sort it out. We're paying for it either way.

You don't need togo to the busy parts of the website to get to a list of all providers by county. Here is the link--just scroll down to VA and where you live in Northern Virginia. It looks like a pretty robust set of choices and decent prices--certainly better than I was able to find before the exchange opened up. The information is limited to some sample plans but it at least lets you know who is competing and what pricing is like:

Thank you . That list does help a lot. Still have not got to the sign up yet.
Prince William has BCBS plans, Kaiser and others. I haven't even gotten to the place where they verify identity. My secret questions are blank. I hear they are working on that.
