We are closing on a home this coming Thursday and want to get an attorney to just look over the closing documents that I would be signing. Could anyone recommend a local Real Estate attorney in Fairfax?

Thanks

Coming from NJ I know a lawyer is required to close, but here in Virginia most people do not use lawyers - not needed for a routine closing.

Your real estate agent will be able to explain the documents you will be signing, the title company will furnish you with blank documents upon request for you to review before the settlement. The person actually conducting the settlement (a paralegal or an attorney) can answer any questions that may occur to you during the settlement. Do not let them hurry you, make sure you understand what you are signing.

Thanks. I do understand that we do not need a lawyer, but since this is such a big purchase I thought it might be good to pay a few hundred dollars for someone to take a good look at the documents.
