What will be the average driving time in rush hour (morning and afternoon) from Summer Pond Drive in Centreville to Newbrook Drive in Chantilly?

The online maps are showing the time as approx. 10mins but would that go up to about 30mins in rush hour, or would it be longer than 30mins?

Are there any suggestions for backroads because I am new to this area?

Thanks!

Unless there's an accident, I don't think it would be any longer than 30 minutes; but I'm not going by those streets you gave, I'm just going by my experience from driving from Chantilly to Centreville in rush hour.

Route 28 has its issues but this part is not THAT bad. Its a shame you work on that side of 66 otherwise it would be a dream commute. I would suggest if you pull out to 29 and see that its backed up heading towards 28 turn left and go down stone road which never backs up (everyone that backs up 28 is either coming off 66 or getting on 66, crossing 28 is actually not bad at Westfields intx.
