I am considering a job opportunity in Quantico, how long is the commute from Federicksburg to Quantico, and any other info on places to live near Quantico would like to be close to more populated areas, but not D.C.

Woodbridge would be another option but would be more expensive than Fredericksburg. Commute-wise I'm not sure which option would be better, however anything around the Quantico area on 95 can get pretty jammed.

If he lived north of Quantico, wouldn't he have a reverse commute?

I'm not that familiar with I-95 South in the mornings, and I-95 North in the evenings - but I imagine it's not too bad?

Thanks, I appreciate the information. Leaning toward Fredericksburg need to be somewhere populated so my wife who is in dentistry can find a position eventually.

Have you considered Stafford? From Garrisonville Rd to the front gate of Quantico is about 10 miles and it is probably about 15 minutes to Fredericksburg. For your wife it would be a reverse commute if she got a job in Fredericksburg so that would be an easy commute. Stafford has numerous dentists office so she might be able to find a position here.

Your commute from Fredericksburg to Quantico will depend on traffic, you can never tell how traffic is going to be from one day to another.

The Falmouth area of Stafford (south end) is 17 miles from Quantico...but traffic can be crazy....

North Stafford is right next door to Quantico (sort of!)...going via Rt. 1 wouldn't take too long.

South Stafford and even Spotsylvania are considered part of Fredericksburg.....they have the Fredericksburg address designation.

He could live in Aquia Harbor and take 1 straight down to Quantico.
