Hello all. I'm in the market for a condo, and I've checked out several higher-end, high rise condominiums that seem to have much better sound isolation between units (and floors) than other buildings. Odyssey, Park Crest, and Turnberry just to name a few. Just curious, though: can anyone suggest an older building where hearing side/above/below neighbors is a non-issue, or is this attention to detail just in a select few newer buildings?

I'm hoping to find a dated-yet-steller build quality building out there that may just need a facelift to get them back on par with these newer buildings. I like the idea of gutting the surface stuff (flooring, cabinets, countertops, showers, etc) and making it my own, but I am... particular? when it comes to hearing neighbors -- and there's very little that can be done to remedy that after a building is built. I'm looking in the Arlington, Falls Church, Tysons Corner areas. Thanks for the help!
