I am mostly interested in what websites to find rentals? I've looked at homes.com and craigslist.org (I really want to stay away from Craigslist because all of the scams I've noticed).

Also, where I'm originally from people post houses for rent by owner in the newspaper. Is there something like this? Seems like nobody rents directly through the owner up here.

We were living in Silver Spring, MD then moved to Carroll County to find cheaper rent. Now we are being asked to move to NoVa.

The areas I would like to be in would be Leesburg or Ashburn. I also would be willing to live in Chantilly or that area.

I know this is going to be almost impossible but I want the rent to be no more than $1100.

Make sure you are looking under "Loudoun" if searching by county. You'll get more results.

If you want a local newspaper, The Loudoun Times would be the best one. Try to find a place as near to your work as possible, since traffic can sometimes get very bad. Welcome To Virginia!

Thanks everyone for the response!

Honestly my boyfriend will be working all over the place. D.C., Mo. County, Prince William. His employer suggested to live in Loudon County. The thing is he can't take the Metro and MARC trains with his line of work because of all the locations he may have to visit during the day.
