Someone was telling me the other day about a second hand store that only carries name brand clothes from this season. They wouldn't accept thing from last season etc. I can't remember the name but I think it started with a "P"? Any ideas?

What a funny name. Do you only see the shadows of the clothing when you're in there?

They could have picked a better name. Doesn't anyone remember Platos's Retreat in NYC from the late 70's-early 80's?

Good one! The clothes are less than ideal, but the prices are right. (Drum fill.) It beats Socrates' closet, where if you ask the sales clerk for a price, they'll say "What do you think it should cost?"

I scored a vintage Zegna cashmere sportcoat from the Goodwill on Glebe. Probably my favorite garment I own, even though I don't get to wear it much.

There's one down on the river side of Union St. in Old Town Alexandria not far from the old Olsen's bookstore.

There's also one in Fredericksburg in the Kmart plaza. They have some nice things.
