Hello All,

I live in the court house area in an apartment building and I have a guest coming to visit for a couple of days but the problem is there is no place for him to park overnight.

Can anyone recommend a parking garage that offers overnight parking in the area? I've tried calling colonial parking which has a few garages around the court house area but they said they do not allow overnight parking.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Have him park in a nearby neighborhood where there aren't zone parking signs. There's a small SFH area behind that elementary school there, off of Veitch. Or if that's zoned parking, you could have him park north of Lee Hwy.

As an Arlington resident, do you qualify to buy short-term visitor passes that allow guest parking on the street?

Residential Permit Parking Program : Transportation : Arlington, Virginia

Residents may give a FlexPass or Short-Term Visitor pass to their guests allowing them to park on the street in a zone. Short-Term Visitor Passes are tags hung from the rear-view mirror that have circles that represent the 12 months and the possible 31 days within a month. Residents fill in the circles and write the dates for which the pass is effective. Each pass is valid for up to three consecutive days. Permitted households may obtain up to 100 passes per year in books of 20 at $5.00 per book. The first book is free. Short-Term Visitor Passes may be ordered online, in person at the County Treasurer's Office, 2100 Clarendon Blvd., Suite 215 or by mailing in an application and appropriate fee to P.O. Box 1754 , Merrifield , VA 22116.

If you want the security of a garaged vehicle, there's always the parking garage attached to Ballston Common. It's owned by Arlington County, and is open 24-7, but your guest will have to take the Metro a couple of stops to retrieve the car.

Isn't the municipal garage next to the Metro station open 24/7? I feel like I've parked there almost overnight (till 5AM) before.
