Hi,

I work at a company that is located on Arlington Blvd. where it hits I-495.

I am now considering buying a house and Centreville is one of my option. I figured that the area has decent home at the price range that I am considering.

Can you let me know how many minutes it will take to commute from one general location in Centreville to my company?

I figured that I66 and Route 50 and 29 would have bad traffic, but I would like to how bad it is

I would appreciate your answers!

Thanks!

DK

This depends on a bunch of factors, especially when you leave. To get from your entry on to 66 to your exit off of 495 @ 50 would probably take you bare minimum 45 minutes (to go 15 or so miles) if you travel between 7-9 or 430-630. If you can go in early or leave early you will have less trouble. It takes my bus appx fifteen minutes to go from interchange of rte 50 and 66 to nutley street and 66, which is four miles - I do this usually around 8AM and 6PM.

66 is very busy at these hours, even in the HOV lane. 50 gets very backed up in and around fairfax through the traffic lights.

I am not as familiar with traffic on 29.

Thank you very much for the reply. Would you say that taking I66 is better commute route compared to taking 50?

Thanks!
