We may be in a bind in a week or two. Our daycare/school is changing their policy on us and basically forcing all of us to be full time or not be there at all. My daughter has only 8 more months to Kindergarten. I am just beside myself over this situation, but trying to figure out a workable solution.

Are there any pre-Ks rooms and/or schools in the Reston/Herndon/Sterling area that might have spots for PT kids? My daughter goes 3 days a week. If we're forced to switch schools, I would prefer it to be to a place where my child could go 3 days a week until Kindergarten and stay at the same place for Kindergarten with maybe 2 days of aftercare (my schedule is somewhat flexible, but I do need to work at least a couple full days).

Signed,
extremely angry mommy who was already stressed out about what happens in the fall

I don't know if they have any spots, but you could always try Discovery Oaks. It's in Sterling - Kindergarten at Discovery Oaks Academy - Preschool at Discovery Oaks Academy

thank you - I actually have a friend whose son goes there. I left them a message already. I was planning to check it out for K next year anyway, as my husband could drop her off on the way to ashburn. If I must switch her, it might as well be to somewhere we might keep her for K.

My friend has her son going there for K this year. She also had him go there for preschool. Good luck. I hope you find something really soon.
