Here’s a little photo tour of Falls Church. Please feel free to add any photos you, too.

Since people moving here seem to care the most about houses, let's start off by looking at typical houses that you’ll see around Falls Church:

Many tall trees, especially in the parks.

This community center was hopping. All sorts of things going on.

The statue was part of an art exhibit that featured decorated elephants and donkeys scattered around DC. I think kids at the Falls Church community center decorated this one.

People here are active in politics.

Signs in multiple languages tell you a lot about the diversity here.

Falls Church has two Metro Stations. Lots of bike racks, and newspaper stands. Here’s my tip: Pick up “The Onion” for free and start the day off with a good laugh. There’s a large parking lot and a garage, but on a weekday you need to arrive early to get a parking spot.

Falls Church is convenient to several main roads and highways. This is rush hour traffic on 66. The construction is the new metro line that will eventually go out to Ashburn.

There are a few small campuses in Falls Church.

This shopping plaza has several ethnic stores and will soon have a new BJ’s.

Rt. 7 is a busy road but the side streets tend to be quiet. This bunny was sitting in the middle of the street just a half block from Rt. 7. (And I was standing in the street taking a photo of it.)

The area is well served by bus routes.

Lots of good music in Falls Church. I didn’t get a good photo of it, but my favorite place in the city is the State Theater. I’ve seen so many great shows there.

More Misc. Shots:

Don't tell anyone but I secretly LOVE this silly building. It always brings a smile when I drive by.

Great photos! I like that you showed a lot of the little details about life there. Everything from bus benches to the traffic on 66. The bunny photo was cute. I'm jealous--I can never get a wild animal to stay still long enough for me to get the photo.

One thing I especially love about Falls Church is the houses and the pretty gardens in front of them. I can't pick a favoroite, they're all nice.

Very, very nice Caladium! Where on earth is that building with the purple flowers?

I really like The State Theatre too. I've seen some great performances there!

I've seen that building with the purple flowers. I think it's on Oak Street. Or maybe it's Spring Street. At any rate, it's between the 7 and Park Ave. I have no idea what sort of company is in there.
