Can anyone recommend a great place to go on Thanksgiving that is really good. We have a big crowd this year and thought we would do something different rather than cook at home. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!!!!

Hat........I didn't even know this was your posting ........

Well, we have gone with a big bunch to the Great Wolf Lodges Buffet for Easter. It was fantastic, and the kids are entertained by the little lobby attraction. It was the winner as our favorite.

Other then that we have gone to Pocmont and that was very nice ( again for Easter )
Also with a big group to Country Club of the Poconos, but I don't know if they do Thanksgiving.

We all went to another place in Saylorsburg, but that would be too far for you.

Some of the golf course restaurants are good to check with. Stroudsmoor does Thanksgiving, also.

I am having Thanksgiving at home. Last year the dining room was too small........for some reason.
So I am putting the extra long wood table in the family room by the fireplace for a new setting this year. That should be a new and inviting place for us to enjoy the day.

Hi Summering,

Thanks for all the great suggestions. I did hear about the Easter Buffet at Great Wolfe and people have been telling me that for a couple of years now. We are in a midst of a move, so setting the table is not conducive for us this year. It sure sounds nice with a long table and the fireplace, to start the holidays. Thanks again for the suggestions!!!

So, far 2 votes for the Stroudsmoor. Now, only 40 minutes from Clarks Summit so I will keep Michael Angelo's in mind. Thanks Wow.

I've been to Ehrhardts, in Hawley, twice, for Thanksgiving dinner. Each time, with a large group and no one was disappointed.

Hi Ecam,
Thanks for the information. We are always at Ehrdardts during the summer and I did not know they had a big feast there. BTW, I saw their Banquet room this afternoon, overlooking the Lake and it was beautiful.
