I haven't been to the WE fair in years! Everything is too expensive! Is there a cheap fair out there like in the good old days?

I have been looking for the same thing. I will not pay to get into a fair and the last time I was at the WE Fair you had to. I do not pay for the priviledge to spend more money. Completely ridiculous.

For the grounds to remain in their hands, they probably have to collect a fee. There are buildings on there, and taxes to be paid.
So...........then............did you leave to go fishing then

I've been to both and like them both. I like the Wayne co fair better and you pay like $8 to get in, but that includes all the rides. You cant beat that!

Rides included would be worth it. Heck, anything included would be nice. No doubt that WE Fair does have bills just as the rest of us do but I would think they could come up with another format; whether it be a 50/50 raffle or passing it along to the vendors who are already making money off of the people that just paid to get in.
P.S. was no fishing after that; been too warm.

I never went to Wayne county fair. I've been going to the West End Fair since 1990.
I go especially for the food. All I need is a london broil sandwhich, a large dale's french fries, and a caramel apple before I leave.

WE Fair does have good food. I like the animals, too.

The best old fashioned county fair I've been to is in NJ- Hunterdon County Fair.
Hunterdon County 4-H and Agricultural Fair
The best fair ever has to be Kutztown- already passed.
