My family and I are relocating to PA soon ,and we like the area of Jim Thorpe. Does anyone know of any property management agencies or of any houses currently for rent? We are looking for 3+ bedrooms, as we have 3 children. Thanks!

Lone-
I would not know the answer to your question on property management agencies but I wanted to touch on the moving to Jim Thorpe statement. I bought a home in small community of Jim Thorpe in 2007. What a gorgeous area! I would love to live there full time but finding a good job with decent pay is difficult. Commuting to NYC on a daily basis would be tiring...

The job is not a problem, thats actually why I am moving there. My company is transferring me to Allentown, but I need to find housing pretty quickly.

god, jim thorpe is such a small gossip town. if i were you i would reconsider moving there. i left there a few years ago cause everyone is in your business and if you didn't grow up there forget it!!! talk about small minded, for heavens sake they are so backward and narrow minded, ignorant people.

Maybe you could try Bethlehem or Nazareth. They are close to Allentown but may be a little less hectic than Allentown. Rent a place in these areas and then scout around places, Jim Thorpe as well.

I agree with chefkey, if you'll be working in Allentown, those are great areas.

Gennifer~talk about ignorant!! if you don't have "issues" than you would have nothing to worry about!!! I did not grow up here, & do not have any problems with "the locals". Good people attract good people!
For rentals check out websites: vrbo.com or vactionrentals.com- alot of people will consider long term tenants. Good luck
