No, not really.

We have used GEICO for the cars for years and Farmers Insurance for the houses.

I had Allstate auto insurance for many years. I got boxed in in a parking lot by 2 big SUVs and hit one of them while trying to back out. Damage amounted to $1700. They immediately put me in their Allstate Indemnity subsidiary and tripled my premium.

I recommend Erie Insurance. I've been with them now for over 10 years and have never had a problem. They are a Pennsylvania based company.

An adjuster told me that Allstate is one of the worst deal with in this area. I deal with GEICO for the cars and Travelers for homes.

nicoleeee,

Here are two links that might help: http://www.getclaimhelp.com/public-adjuster/10-worst-insurance-companies-deny-claims-raise-premiums.html

http://www.whnt.com/whnt-10-worst-insurance-companies,0,3772541.story

If you notice Allstate is at the top of both lists. I have Erie. However; we pay higher premiums in the northeastern part of our state (supposedly; more accidents).

I am not a happy insurance buyer. I have three vehicles, no accidents and I am the main driver of all three - my wife (also; with no accidents) has a license; but prefers that I drive. Since only one vehicle is usually on the road at any given time; I think that we should have lower rates.

I am not sure this will help you.. but we have been using C.C. Young, and Henkelman Insurance agency in Scranton for the last 20 years. That have treated us very well..Along with my sister, and brother having their business policy with them.

I can give a thumbs up to Travelers. Before we bought our second home, we had Travelers and they were great. Many years ago I had a grease fire in the kitchen, and they had an adjuster out the next day.

Farmers just gave us a better deal.

GEICO is almost always the cheapest among the major auto insurers.
