Well if it turns out to be true and my sources have yet to let me down these shops are moving out and or closing. With Journey's and Game-Stop being the only real draw for kids, students the mall is doomed to be a swap-meet, flea market sooner then later....

Speaking of malls, I was in the Stroud Mall today. It seems all the stores between Victoria's Secret and Sears...about 5 or 6 stores have closed. Only 1 has relocated to another part off the Mall. It seems they are going to expand the movie theatre complex. How big, I don't know. It already had about 6 theatres. Talk about a pit of a Mall. If you ever want to waste some time, visit the Stroud Mall.

I HIGHLY doubt that Abercrombie and Hollister will leave. They seem to be the two most popular stores in the Mall. On the other hand, I have never seen anyone in Pac-Sun so I can understand if that store leaves.

Pac-Sun has already closed. The others ARE leaving, popular or not they are seeing little traffic and will be leaving.

Well, like I said, I am not surprised about Pac-Sun, but the other two seem to be the two busiest stores, besides Boscov's and Express.

Sure, but being the busiest in a dead mall is not very busy. With the decline in foot traffic and stores that have already closed its amazing that they have managed to stay there this long.

Mayor Doherty should extend the Friday Nights/Lites festivities to Monday thru Friday - perhaps that will save the Steamtown Mall..

I highly doubt that the 20 pseudo art enthusiasts that pretend they are part of some cultural movement in a city that is nothing more then a huge bowel movement would make a difference.

Like it or not, there is a cultural movement. It appears that there is an art gallery opening in one of the storefronts of the Connell Building (The storefronts that everyone said would never be filled).
