Scranton Planning Commission considers proposal for Sonic Drive-In restaurant - News - The Times-Tribune

Can't wait for this...I love Sonic....and even better that it will actually be in Scranton a stone's throw away from me, rather than the usual Dickson City or Montage. Can't wait to be able to get some chili cheese tots or some cherry limeaid without having to go to Wilkes-Barre.

Glad you are happy. Sonic isn't one of my favorites. My father was here visiting before the one in W-B opened. He wanted to stop to see what it was all about. He wasn't a fan either, saying that would be his first and last visit. We must be the odd ducks though, those places ALWAYS have a crowd.

If Jack in the box or in and out was moving in I would say that would be an exciting addition for fast food goers.

To future posters - This OP is not about a healthy new fast food place coming to the area. It's a sonic. If you'd like to talk about government subsidizing bad food practices, please do so in another forum.

I was to a Sonic just this week. It does have some healthy food. They had some kids meals listed with apples and dip, and milk, including chicken. Its not all bad. We could not believe the long line of drive thru cars... and they kept coming.
