Hi, as many other people have done here i am wanting to relocate to ND and start a career in the oil fields. I have 0 experience in the oil fields. i was in the military so i am used to heavy lifting, working in extreme temperature, and where i work now i do 12 hour shifts 6 days a week, so none of it would be new to me, i just want a new career. I would have a place to stay in New Town, so the commute wouldn't be an issue, the only thing is how do i get on a rig while i am still out of state before i move up there with no job.

Thansk

The oil patch is starting to look dead.

The dramatic drop in drilling rigs to 68 is the puppeteer behind the empty or disappeared beds, but some decline in the man camp population may come from camps being put out of business.

Don't Know if OP is still looking for work, but there are many non-oil jobs in Dickinson. I dont think Im allowed to post company's names here, but use the website:
Job Service North Dakota

The natural gas processing companies are still hiring and expanding. Companies like OneOK, Hess, Zavanna, and a couple of others. Their construction contractors are still hiring too. Check jobsnd.com
