Looking for a retirement home close to Fort Bragg (condos, house)

Hi All

I have been looking around for a place for my parents to retire. My father spent some time serving at Fort Bragg and he was a fan of North Carolina.

I was looking into locations for him that were close to the base so that he could still be attached to his Military roots, and found Fairway Pointe (www.fairwaypointecondos.com) and it seems to have a whole bunch of amenities and a community that has a lot of events….seemed like a nice idea for someone getting older!

Does anybody know the community well? It sounds great but who knows. What other communities are in the Bragg area that offer activates and amenities

Some other good areas to look into are Carolina Lakes, Carolina Trace, and Woodlake. We have a large military community around here. Carolina LAkes has 7 private lakes, Tennis courts, and a club house with community events and clubs like bridge, canasta, and many other clubs. THere is also a golf course but it is public but with very reasonable rates. Carolina Trace also has a lake and golf course but there course is private. Anderson Creek is another gated community with a Davis Love golf course. Hope this is helpful. Feel free to ask me any more questions.

Thanks for the info, I went through an online presentation of Fairway Pointe since I posted this. The community was amazing and just what we were looking for.

The process was a little different, I had to sign up on their website at www.fairwaypointecondos.com and they called me back and we did an online presentation, it was a great preview of the community....

My father is on his way down there next month to sign the paperwork.....he seems to be very happy!!
