I just spoke to an ins broker to see how much my auto ins will go down, it only went down about $350 every 6 mos, I am not complaing but I thought it would have been more...

We were chatting the ins guy told me that so many people are coming to NC without doing any research and when they start getting bills and new ins etc, there are actually upset and surprised by the costs.

I cannot imagine going to move anywhere and not researching - I wonder if that is a sign of something to come in the future

Yes, it was a little different when I moved here 12 years ago...before the proliferation of the Internet. But even so, I subscribed to a NC newspaper which was mailed to me weekly in Cleveland for six months before making the move, so at least I would have a general idea of what was happening and where. But now with the Internet, there is no excuse for anyone not to research an area thoroughly before moving.
