Your feedback is appreciated for places to consider in North Carolina. We are moving from a rural community in North Florida. We are also considering Georgia. We want a safe neighborhood for our kids. good schools with reasonably priced real estate and property taxes, as well as a choice of childcare facilities. I work in advertising and would want to find a job before relocating. Are there any weekly community newspapers with websites to review info too?

where is the best place for a single woman looking for work that likes the city life but can't stand the extremes of very cold winters and very hot summers

Kathlena -

Probably not in NC. Maybe Portland, Oregon? Or Seattle? I don't know how the work situation is there, but in NC you won't find the work or the climate you want (especially the not-too-hot summers).

Personally, I think we have a very mild taste of all 4 seasons. You may want to consider Johnston County NC, it is still very rural but offers great amenities, great values, & fantastic Schools! In NC you have the mountains & the beach, a home town feel, but a lot of value!! Good luck, [mod]tos violation[/mod]

Default news papers

Yes, try The news bulliten in Old Fort,NC and the McDowell news.com in Marion, NC . The County is not as bad as the Asheville as far as taxes and it's only 20-25 miles to the Asheville area if you get a job there.Oh by the way I'am a Florida girl as well.

The Coastal NC forum is the place for beach-area questions.
