We took 40.
We left late Monday but made it to possibly Temecula ( i really dont remember). Tues. we made it to Gallup, NM. Wed. to Oklahoma. Thurs. Tennesee. Friday to a town named Waynesville, NC and then we were in Mooreville Sat. At that point we took our time Sat. morning as we were in a nice R.V park and just took our time that morning.
We were each driving seperate cars so anyone can do it in a shorter amount of time if they can trade off driving.

So far no one has been eaten alive by bugs, I take it? Much relief to a lot of might-be transplants, I'm sure.
What area will you be moving to???
I do have a mosequito bit!!!!!!
We do not have a screened in porch and i do like eating outside, so far not bad as far as the bugs go.

mvn2nc,
Time to change your user name!
I will be moving to Stallings, South of Charlotte.
We are now deciding on the date of our move. Today was my daughter's last day of school. Can't wait!

It was not easy each of us doing the driving by ourselves but we made it!
Lots of C.D's of my favorite music kept me going.
When we felt like stopping for the day it was very easy to find R.V parks along the way. The dogs were no problem. At gas stops we let them out to stretch and do their thing.
We are busy settling the house and enjoying actually eating outside and enjoying the wonderful weather. We lived in the fog belt so eating outside for us in Calif. was difficult.
So far neighbors and everybody are all so friendly.
So far, no compaints

Fantastic!! Congratualtions.....You are ny Lake Norman. LOVE IT!

Congratulations! Good to know that campgrounds/rv parks are easy to find. That's what we'll be doing as long as I don't over pack the trailer! LOL I am sure hubby will stop me before I do that though. Luckily my mom lives right off the 40 near OK City, so will stop in for a night and see her place. Like everyone said keep us posted and photo's too!
