Ok, so I want to buy a bike (cruiser). I plan to take the safety course in March when Mitchell CC starts their program again. In the meantime, I want to take the written portion of the test at the local DMV office.

Two questions:
1) Can anyone give me a feel for what to expect on the written portion? I saw the few sample questions in the manual. Are they representative of the rest of the test or do I need to brush up on drinking laws and stuff like they had on the automobile test?
2) Let's say I pass the written test. I understand that I can ride a bike then (solo and during daylight I believe.) Will this also be enough to go test drive bikes at the dealership and drive one home?

Sorry for the elementary questions. Never had a bike license before.
