There is a whole lot more heat in Tabasco than Pete. And actually Pete has it's own distinct flavor, used liberally in some of my family's favorite dishes and grill work. We do buy Pete in large quantities at Sam's Club, the tiny bottles sold in grocery stores just don't last long.

Well... I guess I should have been more specific... I meant that they're basically used for the same thing.
