I've been voting by signing a register since I was 18. The process was not broken and worked fine. To introduce barriers (anything, even miniscule) will lower the overall voter base and, worse, will have an unbalanced impact demographically.

If I was say, a Tump, I would be in favor of this. If I was reading the spirit of the Constitution, I would be insulted and appalled. In order for a true Democracy to work, we need more voters - not less.

My father would have been 90 today and I have seen his birth certificate. These people you speak about with no papers how old are they? You gotta be kiddin' me.

So no ID required to vote? Sounds like a great idea to me.

Yet no ID is needed for absentee ballots, which is where most potential fraud would occur. Go figure.

Enough of this "woe is me" crap and let's get it done.
Absofreakinlutely! You only need two documents to get your NC ID. Two documents! Heck, my 18 month old child already has the two required documents to get an NC ID.

And you child was born in 2014, NOT 1944. Older people have less documents like that, because they weren't needed as much.

My mother was born in 1917 -- she has no trouble at all providing two documents. History didn't begin the day you were born!
