NC is a red state meaning it votes for the Republican nominee for president. NC also has a Republican governor and Republican control of both houses of the general assembly.

So a majority of NC voters are Republican and that is who they sampled. Of course you know that you do not have to sample everyone to be 95% confident on an answer.

NC voted for Romney in 2012 and elected a Republican governor and voted in Republican control of both houses of the General Assembly.

That took a majority of the people that voted to pull that off.

Just shows how true the stereotype of low intelligence regarding the average American really is. That plus how easily media instilled fear can convince people to vote for things that don't even make sense.

You can't single out a specific group based solely on religion or race. All this would do is create even more terrorists who hate America and eventually put us at even higher risk of attack for generations to come.

According to some CNN poll the majority of Americans now support ground troops in Syria as well. We saw how great invading and occupying Iraq worked out for us last time. How soon we forget.

Ironically these same Warhawks who support guys like Trump are the same ones who cry and whine about how high their taxes and such are. I guess they think these world police adventures are free.

Wrong. Trump is happy for Putin to take care of it. Why did Putin not win Time cover? As opposed to Merkel?
Why are we not aligning with Putin?

The Republicans have 2/3rds majorities in the GA with slightly over 50% of the vote. They do not require a majority to win those. They also took 9 of the 13 congressional house seats with a minority of votes statewide in 2012. NC is a competitive state in statewide races that cannot be gerrymandered. Legislative races are not competitive though. The republicans have a permanent majority for those, unresponsive to the way the state votes.

Cruz said no refugees unless they were Christian.

What is the difference between what Trump said and the rest of the Republican party said?
