seriously, there are not so many refugees coming from Syria that they cannot be helped and housed in Europe and peacable countries of Africa. There is ZERO reason for the US to accept or promote them coming across the Atlantic to our land.
Somewhere between 8-11 million refugees have fled Syria with nothing more than the clothes on their back. Germany alone is "helping and housing" 800,000 (that would be the equivalent of the US "helping and housing" 3 million). I think helping people in who are in need is ONE reason for the US to should accept and promote them coming across the Atlantic to our land. The fact that we are economically able is a SECOND reason. The fact that our warmongering which I'm sure you supported has led to this crisis is a THIRD reason.
That we are only going to take in 20,000 is the pathetic, as is the fact it will take 18-24 months to process each refugee. Americans like yourself need to take a long look in the mirror and figure out what you are afraid of.

It's better to create stability in their home countries so they can have functioning lives there. It's a JOKE to imply western nations can assimilate droves of under educated non English speaking middle easterners.
