Is there anywhere in Fayetteville that is hiring? Every Company I have interviewed with don't seem to like to hire military spouses. The first question is always "how long are you going to be here..Do you plan on staying".

I understand how you feel being a military spouse. The first place I would check is the on post jobs. They have plenty of contract assignments. Aafes is very military friendly and hire frequently. Also, check USAJOBS.com.

My time as a military spouse wasn't a problem because I worked up here in the RTP while my husband was at Ft Bragg and usually they don't ask anything about the military unless it's on your resume. But even when I interviewed at Bragg and Fayetteville, they didn't ask anything about being a military spouse, only my active duty service because it was on my resume.

I won't tell them anything about you being a military spouse unless they ask you. They really don't need that information in my opinion. That will save you a lot of headaches.

No offense to the OP, but the only thing more amazing than all of the resources that the military and their families have available, is the number of servicemen and their families that don't know about them. Here are some links:

Another option, depending on your husband's rank, is just to go school for free using MyCAA:

I've found one of the highest paying jobs on base for those with only a high school diploma would be the Child Development Center, which typically starts out at a few more dollars an hour than their off-base counterparts with lower requirements. My wife works in early childhood education and has worked at a CDC in the past.

Last but not least to the OP and all of the other military spouses out there, happy Military Spouse Appreciation Day!!!!
