The Amish community being referred to is mostly in western Yadkin County, not far from the intersection of I-77 and US 421.
Shiloh Bakery is located at 5520 St. Paul Church Rd., Hamptonville, NC27020 (YadkinCounty) Telephone is 336-468-4789. You could use MapQuest to locate it.
Yoder’s Country Market, that was discussed earlier, has moved to 90 County Home Rd. in Yanceyville, according to their (gasp!) web site. They call themselves an Amish style store.
There is also a mennonite community in South Boston, VA. They have a very good deli, etc. Come to their church, too! Outside visitors are always welcomed with love! From a Mennonite, Heather Williams
There is a nice Amish settlement in Crab Orchard Kentucky... right outside of Danville... and Liberty my husband myself took a drive out there last Saturday... so nice and peaceful
The easiest way is to take the exit for Union Grove, then turn up Union Grove Rd, towards a small area called Windsor's Crosswords. That's where the Shiloh Store/Bakery and the church are.
Yoder sold that store and moved a few years ago. The store is still there though and being run just like it was by someone who moved there from out of state. Yoder trained him. Great little store! The new owner is not Amish and I don't think he's Mennonite either. A lot of the Mennonites have moved out of that area. I don't know how many Amish are still there.

Unfortunately true, most have moved to upstate New York.
I live in the Windsor X road community. The Shiloh General Store is ran by Amish as it has been since it opened. I believe the store you're speaking of was the Community Market, that was ran by non-Amish folks. This store was first owned by Mr. Yoder and then sold to Ken and Teresa Messick, who have since, gone out of business. The Shiloh store is ran by Amish and now a few miles up the road from that is another Amish ran business, that has this and that but I don't think, (unless they just started in the last little bit) they have any food like Shiloh does.
I know this is an older thread. Has any of this information changed since the last posting?
Not to my knowledge - the Shiloh Store in Yadkin County is still there and I know several winery operators direct visitors to them who are curious about getting picnic style lunches to enjoy at the wineries.
