Can't you limit your use of social media? Other than City Data I don't do any of that stuff. JMO, makes life simpler.

Same. Other than City-data and reddit, I don't have any social media accounts. It just seems like a waste of time.
I used to have facebook years ago, but things were happening in my life and I just needed a break from it. I truly intended on just deleting it for a week or two.. maybe a month at most and then getting back on it but the feeling I had after 2 weeks of not using it... Pure joy. Like a weight lifting off my shoulders and chest.
Needless to say, I just kept living my life and not thinking about it - I never really decided to be off it for sure. I was just focusing on other things and not paying attention. Next thing I knew it was five years later. Now I just have no interest in it.
