Just enough to make me forget my misery being single on V-day for a few hours.
I've not heard of pineapple vodka before... Sounds good and sure will help with the hypnotic part

Enjoy

I need to stop at CVS on my way home from work. So, if they have any Valentine-themed chocolate, I might buy some. (even though it would probably be on clearance, tomorrow)

I actually feel grateful for having the day to myself and find it fun to use it as a reason to treat myself right. What are some treats or ways you like to spoil yourself?
I have ways of treating myself...

The joys of being a free spirit and traveling.

Why make a fuss ?

Or do you treat yourself on Australia day whether you're Australian or not ?
Spoil yourself on world meteorological day even if you're not a weatherman ?
Idiopathic Hypersomnia Awareness Week must be just awful torment for you.

World puppetry day on March 21 always leaves me feeling empty and hollow since I don't have a puppet, but I'll treat myself to a long soak in the bath, a 6 pack of Sginer bock and a candlelit meal for one.
Party pooper

Thanks for the 'pooper' comment. I was at a loss for a minute there.

I like the premise of this thread, whether it has to do with Valentine's Day or any other day. The more that you can treat yourself and make yourself happy, the less that you have to rely on others. I took some days off this week and really have nothing special planned except to relax. One of my single girlfriends went out with a bunch of the girls for oysters and the symphony and called their excursion "Galentine's Day". I am probably not doing anything today because everything is marked up for the holidays and the restaurants will probably be crowded.

Are any of the random holidays commercialized like Valentine's Day? If so, then you may have a point. But since they aren't not a fair comparison.

I'm a widow and this is my second Valentine's Day without my husband. I am currently dating someone but it's very new (he's not my boyfriend yet) and going out on a Tuesday night isn't really an option for us so I'm treating it like a regular old day. I don't see the point of celebrating a day meant for lovers by myself.

I'm doing "Galentine's Day" with a couple of friends--we're going over to someone's house and having wine and pizza, since going to a restaurant or bar when everyone's out trying to be on a date is a pain in the butt.

Although married my wife and I celebrate the day right here at home. Being foodies we pamper ourselves by cooking together a special meal and treating ourselves to a good bottle of wine.

When I was single and not dating it was just another day.
