My 'friend' complains about other people mocking him for being unemployed and living in mom's house, being a loser, etc. But he has no qualms mocking his friends who are in similar situations.
How do I make him understand that this is hypocritical? Or must I renounce this so-called friendship?
When he starts a rant about someone else who is just like himself, how about just saying "Hey pot, meet kettle." I'm serious, just call him on it. Real friends should be able to communicate honestly. Otherwise, maybe he can hurry up and find a job and move out, then there's nothing to mock except his being a loser. How does he even know other people are mocking him? Are they mocking him to his face? I find that hard to believe, unless they are just friends fooling around.
