I'm opting out of Christmas altogether. Sick of the commercial and family BS. New Years I'll accept since it is a good excuse to get turned up.

My favorite day of the year is Dec 26th - it's finally all over.
The only thing I like is the commercialism which irritates those who are celebrating the myth of christ.

I hate the holidays as well, but I've learned to work it in my favor. I always work when everyone goes on vacation and am able to get a TON of work done (plus). Right around Thanksgiving/Christmas, the bus lines are practically empty (yay for seats!). On top of that, I am able to find some things I've been wanting for really cheap (woohoo, cheap finds). Also, where I used to work, they gave fantastic gifts (mainly gift cards). It's like the trickle down effect for holidays. I don't mind that at all.

Don't worry man, I feel you. I am probably going to be in the same boat this year as well. My only hope is that is that next year that I won't have to go through this again because I will be far, far away from here. Whatever you do, keep your head up. Nothing lasts forever.
