CEO Ghosn says no talks ongoing now

CHIBA, Japan - Carlos Ghosn, who heads the automakers Nissan of Japan and Renault of France, said Wednesday he remains interested in a partnership with a major U.S. automaker, although he is not in talks or aggressively looking just yet.

Nissan Chief Executive Carlos Ghosn told reporters the timing wasn't right to expand the Nissan-Renault alliance, formed in 1999, because Nissan Motor Co. is now in a lull of "consolidation" before going to the next stage of growth.

Default Nissan is a great product. Their designs are awesome.

However, they should lower their sticker prices approximately 6%.

They should also demand more professional new car sales approaches. Every Nissan dealership we know of is as crooked as New York City Pimp.

Nissan was in dire straights not that long ago and could only find Renault to help them get out of there financial woes.I think in the last 5 years they have been coming out with a decent product and they have been selling very well, from what I see on the road lately.I think it would be wise to stay the course they're on and not venture into hazardous waters right now.

I completely agree! Nissan needs to advertise a little more. They should stay away from the freaky exteriors on their trucks, Xterra, and Versa.
